This is a day of small beginnings, a planting of my mustard seed; time will tell what is to become of it. Deep Roots Press is a young seedling, but if the Lord blesses, it will grow and flourish.
The name Deep Roots was chosen many years ago, and is drawn from two sources—The Lord of the Rings and Holy Scripture:
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
J.R.R. Tolkien
The root of the righteous yieldeth fruit and shall not be moved.
Proverbs 12:3b, 12b
My hope is that books published by Deep Roots Press will strengthen believers in putting down deep roots in Jesus Christ. This can be done in two ways. Books can be richly sourced in Scripture itself, or they can be brim-full of biblical principles that readers assimilate unawares. These eternal principles will anchor the soul through times of frost and upheaval. They will produce roots that reach deeply into the aquifer of God’s truth to yield fruitfulness in the reader’s life.
